Some Journalism Is Alive and Well: Thank You to Senior Reporter Emma Parry of The Sun

Senior Reporter Emma Parry has published a new article in today’s, The Sun on my investigation into the Black Dahlia murder, the Zodiac crimes, and the evidence presented in my recent book, The Black Dahlia Murder: Fact vs. Fiction and The Zodiac Murders: Fact vs. Fiction.
I’m grateful to Emma for taking the time to examine the material and for giving the story such extensive coverage, including many of the photographs and documents I shared with her. Above all, I hope it encourages readers to look closely at the evidence and keeps attention on the victims and their families.

Hello,
My name is Tracy Tannen, and my father was actor/writer, Charles Tannen.
My dad was actually best friends with Will Fowler, Jr., the man that took those photos.
I pray for the eventual justice for Elizabeth, but I’m not sure she’ll ever get that.
Tracy:
Your father, with two hundred plus film parts certainly was active during Hollywood’s “Hay Day.”
Bet he knew fellow actor, Charles Wagonheim, whose murder I investigated and solved in Hollywood back in 1979. Will Fowler Jr. was a newspaper character right out of “Central Casting” and Old School, “Anything for a Headline.” Consequently, much of what he said re. the Black Dahlia investigation was hyped and or flat out untruthful. (“First to arrive at the scene. Closed her eyes” etc.) Unfortunately, much of his reportage became myth in years to follow the crime.
