I can’t find any follow up to this story. Who was it.? Had they got inside? Was it a curiosity seeker or were they after something? The story has stalled!
It reminds me of the attempted theft in May 2010 of a safe from the 6th Floor Museum in Dallas (Texas School Book Depository) The 2 thieves were discovered driving away outside the Museum with the safe hanging off the back of a tow truck hook. They fled on foot. The story died.

      Steven U:
Don’t know anything more on it. The owners make and distribute pet cannabis so maybe he thought he might score some grass inside the place? Or, maybe just a Black Dahlia fanatic that want to get/see inside the “crime scene.”? Hard to know. If they caught him inside then they might have a burglary case if they could prove intent to commit a theft or crime. Otherwise, just a prowler/trespass misdemeanor?
