150 Attend Whittier Library Whittwood Branch Black Dahlia 2013 Update Talk
October 22, 2013
Whittier, California
My thanks to Vivian Vellanoweth and all the staff at the Whittwood Branch of the Whittier Library for their assistance in organizing and coordinating last night’s talk at their library.
About 150 local residents along with some dedicated Angelenos who braved the afternoon traffic attended my updated PowerPoint Talk. A lot of thoughtful questions during the post lecture Q&A. (My favorite part.)
City councilman, Owen Newcomer honored us with his presence at last night’s talk. In checking his bio I discovered Dr. Newcomer is a former Political Science professor at Rio Hondo College (now teaching part-time) and the author of Governing California and Los Angeles. Councilman Newcomer is in his third-term of public service to the citizens of Whittier.
