Mike the Marlin Hodel is ashore at Palos Verdes! He swam through the night from Catalina and made it safely to the mainland. Congratulations, son. What a swim—and what a relief to hear you’re on shore.
We had dolphins on call to guide him in, but it seems the welcoming committee had other plans. A local halibut stepped up, shook Mike’s hand, and said, “Welcome to PV, Marlin Mike. We were told you made the swim just for the halibut.”
Well done, Mike. We’re proud of you!
