DARK HOUSE-HOUSE BEAUTIFUL Podcast to present two-part series on the Black Dahlia beginning Sept 27, 2003

Like things that go bump in the night?  Do spirits haunt certain buildings and homes?
Does Elizabeth “Black Dahlia’s” spirit walk the hallways of the hundred-year-old Biltmore Hotel in DTLA?
I’m planning on tuning in tomorrow night (Wednesday, September 27) to hear what researcher/hosts Hadley Mendelsohn and Alyssa Fiorentino of the popular podcast show Dark House-House Beautiful have discovered as relates to L.A.’s most infamous murder–THE BLACK DAHLIA.  (Part II follows next Wednesday, October 4th, which happens to be my brother Kelvin’s (Kelly’s)  82nd birthday. We are Irish twins, so we get to be the same age for one month a year. Happy early birthday, bro!)

Part I airs Wed. September 27, 2023

Update, 9.28.23:

I listened to Part I last night.   The research was well-reported; Host Hadley Mendelsohn has done a “deep dive” into the victim Elizabeth Short’s background and early years in her reportage. Also, she provided a nice background and history of Los Angeles and the Biltmore Hotel, which is just turning one hundred years old. Pleased that she was able to help dispel the myth of “The Missing Week” by identifying many of the witnesses that saw Elizabeth that week and reporting the actions of LAPD officer Meryl McBride’s with the victim on the afternoon of January 14, 1947,  in DTLA, just 12 hours before her torture/murder. Looking forward to next week’s program (Wed October 4, 2023) where the co-hosts indicated they will be providing a history of the Hollywood Sowden/Franklin House, 5121 Franklin Ave. Hollywood; as well as its owner (1945-1950) Dr. George Hill Hodel. It is clear from tonight’s broadcast that Hadley has DONE HER HOMEWORK.

      Nanette C:
Thanks. Well, have relocated to the northwest corner of Washington State now, so hard to say when I might get back to Los Angeles, at least in the near future? I do miss my in-person library presentations in the LA area and the subsequent Q&As. Best, Steve

        Steve!
        Oh Steve!
Our Healing Circle of the Sacred WombSpace unites to send you a cleansing, centering breath and powerful VIBRATIONS for ancestral healing. Ten years ago, I heard your talk at the Whittier library. I was looking for a book on weight loss. I heard you speak. I was too shy to meet you then but it was your talk about your family that put me on my journey to Ancestral Healing. I have learned so much about this ancient practice. I know it could dispel the negative energy in your life and connect you to your forefathers and foreMothers! It heals all the wounds of the past and replaces it with pure LOVE.
Kristel, Rap’cha and I send a plea to your ancestors that you will open the door to ancestral healing!
        Peace to you!
