Just finished reading author/historian David Kulczyk’s book, “California Flakes Fruits and Nuts: True Tales of California Crazies, Crackpots and Creeps and it’s pure California Gold. See my short Amazon review below. A lot of fun and very well written.
I bought and read this book thanks to your recommendation. It does not disappoint! I was particularly fascinated with and disturbed by the Shanghai Chicken Chapter. I never knew the historical context of what it meant to be “Shanghai’d” or “Crimped”. Lots of intriguing and sinister figures in this collection. Thank You
