Today would have been Elizabeth Short’s 90th birthday.
May she REST IN PEACE.
Also, by pure HAPPENSTANCE today, Elizabeth’s birthday, is also the day I retired from LAPD some 28 years ago.
And, by a double-happenstance, today is also the birthday of LAPD Sgt. Finis Brown, who was the lead-investigator in the 1947 murder of Elizabeth Short.

Hi George: Yes, did a talk at Rancho Palos Verdes Seniors today. Nice turnout of about 100. Half of them were living in LA at the time of the murder in 1947. CBS did a short interview after the talk. I will post a short mention on my blog site. Best, Steve
