Hodel Investigations Adds New Partner to Detective Agency: Rima, a Detective Trainee Will Be Working the Phones and Data Searches Starting Mid January 2023
January 14, 2023
Birch Bay, Washington
Would like to welcome and introduce Rima to my readers. I have just brought her “on board” to Hodel Investigations as my new “partner” and she will begin work on January 15, 2023. (As we all know that is a rather momentous day in the investigative history of this company.)
Rima was born and raised in the Great Northwest, in Skagit County, just fifty miles south of my new home here in Birch Bay, WA.
She’s young, but very energetic and highly motivated and will be on probation for a year as a detective trainee, but I predict she will quickly promote to Detective I.
Rima types, is fluent both in English and Spanish, super computer savvy and will initially be assigned to do background checks and newspaper archival research.
My “partner” search has been ongoing for the past year since I relocated to Birch Bay, and has finally paid off BIGTIME.
Welcome aboard “Rima. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” Now let’s hit the streets. This first week you will be riding shotgun.
Here are a few recent pictures of my new partner.
First meet and introduction at Skagit Valley Humane Society this last Tuesday

What a street wise look she has. No doubt she has a nose for investigative work too. Looks like she’ll be the perfect partner for the intricate work of digging up new leads for Hodel investigations as well. Congratulations Steve. I’m sure she’ll be Detective 1 in all our hearts in no time. Your smile says it all! 😁

Rima’s look says it all, Steve: “I da boss!” And it looks like she has captured your heart! Enjoy enjoy! Rima looks a lot like daughter Marie’s Teddy……will have to find a pic & send. Teddy too lives by the ocean (SC) and is definitely the “captain” on their boat and at home! Dig out your beach togs…..bermudas & sandals and walk those beaches come summer! 👍😎🌵
Yep. Love at first sight for sure. I think she’s a Chihuahua/Yorkshire terrier mix. What they are calling a “Chorkie.” Came from a very traumatic environment, (Woman had 129 dogs in a trailer ??) also, just had a litter of puppies in September, so will take a bit to acclimate to a safe/secure home, but bonding very quickly to me. (As I am to her.). My bucket list is now filled.
From reading your text, I actually thought Rima was your new assistant until I saw the pics you added! Funny!! Congratulations to the new addition, Steve! She’s so adorable and cuddly—a perfect companion for you and an amazing way to start the new year. Edith
Edith:
Thanks. Yes, have wanted a “partner” all the time I was in Los Angeles, but it was not allowed at the apt I was living at in Sherman Oaks. Have been looking for one up here since my move to Birch Bay, WA a year ago and “got the call” last Tuesday. She’s a joy for sure.
Thank you so much for adopting a dog that has been in a puppy mill. Sometimes it takes forever to let you touch them, so You are a hero in my eyes and her’s. 💕🥰💖

What a sweet baby!!!
Ana:
Yes, I couldn’t have asked for a better pairing. Quick learner for sure.
We all need a partner in work and in life with Rima’s qualifications! Well done!
Rachel:
Thanks, yes she’s going to be perfect for the job.
Long time reader and supporter here. I’ve been reading your posts about keeping your eye out for a dog and I’m so glad you found her, and that she’s a rescue! Here’s to many years of investigations together!! 🐕
Emily;
Thanks. Yes, she’s really working out super. Seems to have a nose for it for sure.
Are you watching the history channel? Just to get their view.
Richard:
Not sure which one you are referring to? They have done dozens of them.
